Biography
DJ Artie K started spinning records as a teenager in New York inspired by his parents' vast funk and soul record collection. He invested all of his savings into turntables and started a career of his own. His talent has rapidly taken him from working high school dances to the packed clubs of London.

As a first year student at Ithaca College, Artie K joined the campus radio station in 2003. On Ithaca's WICB FM (wicb.org), Artie K became a member of a group of resident Jamaican dancehall deejays and had a weekly mix-show. Using radio as his outlet, Artie K reached a wide fan base across upstate New York. While continuing to spin at local clubs and working part-time for a mobile deejay company (Ectasysound.com), Artie K caught the attention of larger corporations Red Bull and Molson-Coors Brewing Company. He was hired to host parties and mix his universal selection of music for a number of events. Because of his corporate work, Artie found himself traveling monthly between New York City and Washington D.C. In addition to working exclusive social parties, he was specially hired by Neiman Marcus and Club Monaco for in-store events.

In 2006, Artie moved to Los Angeles to intern with Atlantic Records. There he was greatly influenced by the mix-show DJs who easily blended music between different genres. Currently living in New York and fresh out of college, Artie K is familiar with the city's different styles of music. Already with a local and loyal following, Artie K hopes to further spread his talent and love for music to a wider audience and make his mark in New York.

His universal music selection blends styles of music including hip hop, R&B, rock, funk, soul, house, reggae, dancehall, reggaeton, and baltimore club.
